Membership FAQ
To join CREW Austin, how many years must I have worked in the commercial real estate industry?
An Active Member must have 6 years of continuous experience in one of the primary or secondary disciplines outlined in the membership application and be presently employed in commercial real estate. CREW Austin offers an associate level membership where individuals who have less than 6 years of experience can join as well! Other than the years of experience, Associate Members share the same membership requirements outlined in the membership application. We also have the Affiliate membership for those individuals who provide services to our real estate members.


How many sponsors are required to support an application for membership?
You must list two members in good standing from the CREW Austin Membership Directory however only one of them are required to fill out a sponsor letter.


What if I do not know any members?
Applicants in this situation should prepare and submit the application along with a cover letter requesting assistance with finding two sponsors.


How much are annual dues?
Please see our dues structure on the right hand side of this page.


How are applications reviewed?
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Once the application is received in full, the CREW Ausitn Office sends it to the Membership Committee who conducts the review by verifying information submitted and reviewing references. Once the review is complete, the recommendation and application goes on to CREW Austin Board of Directors for a vote. With 2/3 vote approval, the applicant is notified of membership by the CREW Office. The process typically takes 30-45 days.

Do all CREW chapters have the same membership requirements?
Each chapter has its own set of membership criteria and is governed by its own set of Bylaws.


If the scope of my employment does not qualify me for membership, are there ways I can still be involved?
Non-members are welcome to attend "open" CREW events. Check out the Events section of the website and go to Registration to see what is available.

  3. Include the non-refundable Application Fee of $30.00 payable to CREW Austin, Inc.
  4. The yearly membership dues cover both the local chapter and CREW Network National dues which include numerous benefits at both levels.

At the time your membership application has been accepted, you will be requested to submit payment of the Annual Dues within ten (10) days. The Association year is January - December. Dues are non-transferrable and non-refundable.

* Please note that dues paid after Oct 1st will be charged the full amount below but will cover the remainder of this year and next year with an expiration date of Dec 31st.
