The Programs Committee develops and carries out the monthly programs in accordance with goals and guidelines provided by the President and approved by the Board of Directors. The programs are the primary source of exposure and credibility for the organization, and provide a substantial portion of CREW's annual revenue, therefore a variety of programs should be established each year that will increase overall attendance and meet the needs of the membership (as expressed in member surveys). Membership is responsible for recruitment of potential candidates to join CREW. An organized outreach program should be developed each year that targets new members from all areas of the real estate profession. This is done by obtaining lists from board members, having an annual membership drive, involving general membership for referrals and reviewing current membership to highlight which professions are under-represented; attending other organization meetings for recruitment (i.e. Real Estate Council of Austin, CCIM, CTCAR, CLBA and other commercial real estate functions), putting notices in newsletters, etc. Membership committee will also review applications for approval. A member of the committee checks the applicant's references, makes sure all membership criteria have been met and verifies the applicant's qualifications. If the applicant complies with all stated CREW criteria for membership, the application is reviewed and recommended for approval and the applicant is submitted for board approval at the next monthly board meeting. Friend of CREW Committee is responsible for soliciting and receiving adequate support from the Friends of CREW Austin (sponsorships). The Chair reports to the President and to the Board Director who has been designated as the Sponsorship liaison. The purpose of the position of Public Relations Committee is to continue and enhance written communications by and among CREW and the business community, and promote the prominence and credibility of CREW Austin, CREW Network and individual CREW members by providing positive, professional and consistent representation to the media and business community. | Current Committee Assignments
